These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GliVal Booking Platform (“GliVal”, “we”, “our”, or “the Platform”), operated by X STAR CODE, Registered in Alberta, Canada.

By accessing or using GliVal, including glival.com, booking pages, and Customer subdomain pages, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
1. Definitions
- Platform / GliVal — the software service that enables scheduling, payments, notifications, and Customer subdomain pages.
- Customer — an independent service provider using GliVal to offer appointments.
- Client — an individual booking services from a Customer.
- Subdomain Page — a public profile page assigned to each Customer (e.g.,
customername.glival.com). - Stripe — third-party payment processor used for all online payments.
GliVal is not a service provider, employer, contractor, or agent of Customers.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Platform only if:
- you are at least 18 years old,
- you can form a binding contract,
- you comply with all applicable laws in your region.
Customers must ensure that their business operations, pricing, and services comply with applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations.
3. Platform Description
GliVal provides tools that allow Customers to:
- list services and prices,
- manage a subdomain page,
- accept bookings,
- define cancellation and no-show rules,
- collect online payments using Stripe Connect Express,
- send SMS/email notifications,
- manage schedule and working hours,
- receive and respond to reviews.
GliVal does not:
- verify Customer qualifications,
- guarantee service quality, outcomes, or availability,
- take part in contracts between Customers and Clients,
- control Customer pricing or business practices.
4. Accounts
4.1 Customer Accounts
Customers must:
- provide accurate registration information,
- verify email,
- complete Stripe Express onboarding before accepting online payments,
- maintain the security of their account credentials.
GliVal may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- fraud,
- abuse,
- illegal activity,
- violating these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
4.2 Client Accounts / Records
Clients do not create full accounts.
GliVal stores limited personal information for booking, reminders, dispute handling, and communication.
5. Payments & Fees
5.1 Stripe Connect Express
All online payments are processed by Stripe.
Customers must complete onboarding to receive payouts.
GliVal does not collect or store payment card data.
5.2 Customer-Set Prices
Customers are fully responsible for:
- service prices,
- tax compliance (GST/HST),
- cancellation fees,
- late cancellation rules,
- no-show fees.
Clients agree to the Customer’s pricing and policies when booking.
5.3 Deposit & Pay-Rest Payments
If enabled, Customers may accept:
- booking price / deposit,
- full service payment,
- pay-rest balance after service completion.
Payment flows may include:
- manual capture,
- international card fee confirmation,
- cancellation-based capture adjustments.
5.4 Stripe Fees
Stripe fees are non-refundable.
Customers bear the cost of:
- processing fees,
- international payment fees,
- dispute fees.
5.5 Platform Fees
GliVal may charge Customers subscription fees or additional usage fees (e.g., SMS/email quota). These fees are visible in the Customer Portal.
5.6 Payouts
Payouts are released to Customers via Stripe according to Stripe’s policies, verification requirements, and payout schedules.
6. Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Shows
6.1 Client Cancellations
Clients agree to the Customer’s cancellation rules posted on the Customer’s booking page.
Depending on timing and Customer rules, cancellations may result in:
- free cancellation,
- partial charge (late cancellation),
- forfeiture of deposit,
- refund minus non-refundable fees.
6.2 Customer Cancellations
If a Customer cancels a confirmed appointment:
- full refund is issued to the Client,
- Customer is responsible for Stripe fees.
6.3 No-Shows
Customers may mark a Client as a no-show.
The charge amount is determined by the Customer’s no-show policy.
6.4 Refund Processing
Refunds are processed through Stripe.
GliVal is not responsible for:
- bank delays,
- processing times,
- rejected refund attempts.
7. SMS & Email Notifications
GliVal may send automated notifications, including:
- booking confirmations,
- reminders,
- payment updates,
- pay-rest links,
- review invitations.
If SMS/email quotas for a Customer are depleted:
- notifications may be skipped,
- GliVal bears no responsibility for missed communications.
Clients may opt out of marketing messages but cannot opt out of essential notifications related to a booking.
8. Reviews
Clients may leave reviews about services they received.
GliVal may:
- moderate profanity, illegal content, or spam,
- hide fraudulent or abusive reviews,
- remove content violating the Acceptable Use Policy.
Customers may not manipulate or coerce review outcomes.
9. Customer Subdomain Pages
Each Customer receives a publicly-visible page containing:
- hero section,
- services,
- working hours,
- portfolio,
- reviews,
- contact information.
Customers are responsible for all content they upload or display.
GliVal may remove:
- prohibited content,
- misleading or harmful information,
- intellectual property violations.
10. Marketplace (If Enabled)
GliVal may list Customers in a public directory.
Ranking may consider:
- distance,
- ratings,
- activity,
- marketplace settings.
GliVal may change ranking algorithms at any time without notice.
Sponsored placements will be labeled “Sponsored”.
11. Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- use GliVal for illegal or harmful services,
- harass or defraud Clients or Customers,
- upload explicit, violent, or abusive content,
- reverse-engineer or infringe on intellectual property,
- misuse the Platform in ways that harm others.
GliVal may suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.
12. Intellectual Property
GliVal retains all rights to:
- software,
- design,
- platform features,
- branding,
- proprietary algorithms.
Customers retain ownership of:
- portfolio images,
- service descriptions,
- uploaded content.
By uploading content, Customers grant GliVal a limited license to:
- store,
- resize,
- display,
- optimize
strictly for platform operation.
13. Termination
GliVal may suspend or terminate any account for:
- violating these Terms,
- fraud or abuse,
- legal obligations,
- security threats.
Customers may cancel their account at any time.
Termination does not remove:
- booking history,
- dispute records,
- financial records.
14. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law:
- GliVal provides the Platform “as is” and “as available”;
- GliVal makes no warranties regarding service availability or accuracy;
- GliVal is not responsible for losses resulting from Customer actions, Client actions, or Stripe decisions;
- GliVal is not responsible for service outcomes or disputes between Clients and Customers;
- Liability is limited to the maximum allowed under applicable law.
Customers are solely responsible for compliance with business, tax, health, and safety regulations.
15. Indemnification
Customers and Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless GliVal and X STAR CODE from:
- claims arising from use of the Platform,
- disputes between Clients and Customers,
- violations of laws,
- misuse of data or uploaded content.
16. Changes to These Terms
GliVal may update these Terms at any time.
Customers will receive at least 7 days’ notice before material changes.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
Any disputes shall be resolved in Alberta courts.
