Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines prohibited and restricted activities on the GliVal Booking Platform (“GliVal”, “we”, “our”), operated by X STAR CODE, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

All Customers and Clients must follow this AUP when using GliVal, including glival.com, booking pages, and Customer subdomain pages.
Violation of this AUP may result in warnings, account suspension, termination, or reporting to authorities.
1. General Principles
GliVal exists to facilitate lawful appointments, payments, communication, and service delivery between independent service providers (“Customers”) and their Clients.
You may use the Platform only in a way that is:
- lawful,
- respectful,
- safe for all users,
- compliant with provincial and federal laws of Alberta and Canada.
2. Prohibited Services & Activities
The following are strictly prohibited on GliVal:
2.1 Illegal or Regulated Services
- services prohibited by Canadian or provincial law,
- services requiring licensing the Customer does not possess,
- activities violating municipal bylaws,
- sale or distribution of controlled substances, weapons, or medical treatments requiring certification,
- activities involving fraud, identity misuse, or financial deception.
2.2 Harmful, Abusive, or Dangerous Activities
- offering services that pose unreasonable harm or risk to Clients,
- encouraging violence, hate, or discrimination,
- harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation.
2.3 Explicit or Adult Content
GliVal is not an adult-content platform.
Prohibited content includes:
- sexual services or implied sexual content,
- explicit imagery or nudity,
- adult entertainment bookings of any kind.
2.4 Medical, Cosmetic, or High-Risk Procedures
Unless legally licensed (and compliant with all local regulations), Customers may not offer:
- medical procedures,
- injections or fillers,
- permanent makeup requiring certification,
- health treatments requiring regulatory approval.
GliVal does not verify licensing; the Customer is fully responsible for compliance.
3. Misuse of the Platform
You may not:
- interfere with Platform operation,
- bypass or manipulate security features,
- automate scraping, crawling, or data extraction,
- reverse-engineer Platform code or architecture,
- attempt unauthorized access to other accounts,
- inject malware, bots, or harmful scripts,
- overload infrastructure via excessive automated traffic.
GliVal may use rate limiting, Recaptcha, and fraud-detection systems to enforce this.
4. Misuse of SMS, Email, and Notifications
You may not:
- send unsolicited or spam messages to Clients,
- misuse booked phone numbers for unrelated promotions,
- circumvent SMS/email quotas,
- send fraudulent pay-rest or payment links,
- attempt to impersonate GliVal in notifications.
GliVal may disable messaging for suspicious activity.
5. Misuse of Payment Systems
You may not:
- attempt to bypass Stripe Connect Express,
- request Clients to pay outside the Platform while representing it as an official payment option,
- misrepresent service prices, durations, or policies,
- manipulate or exploit deposit/hold systems,
- falsify no-show or cancellation claims,
- misuse dispute processes or provide fabricated evidence.
Fraudulent behavior may result in account termination and reporting to Stripe.
6. Content Restrictions
6.1 Prohibited Content
Users may not upload:
- explicit, violent, or abusive imagery,
- hate speech or discriminatory content,
- defamatory or false statements,
- copyrighted materials without permission,
- misleading service descriptions.
6.2 Portfolio Content
Portfolio images must:
- belong to the Customer,
- represent real work or facilities,
- not infringe intellectual property,
- not include identifiable minors without guardian consent.
7. Reviews & Reputation System
Clients may leave reviews about their experience.
Users may not:
- coerce or manipulate reviews,
- submit fake, duplicate, or incentivized reviews,
- extort Customers or Clients using review threats,
- use reviews for harassment.
GliVal may remove or hide reviews violating this AUP.
8. Data & Privacy Misuse
You may not:
- harvest Client personal data for unrelated marketing,
- store sensitive identification documents on the Platform,
- collect medical data beyond what is necessary for scheduling,
- resell or redistribute user data.
Customers must comply with privacy laws applicable to their region.
9. Safety, Integrity, and Fraud Prevention
The following are prohibited:
- using false identities or fabricated business information,
- creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions,
- manipulating location or availability data to mislead Clients,
- artificially inflating appointment history or ratings,
- attempting to exploit Stripe disputes or refund mechanisms.
GliVal may suspend accounts for suspicious activity without prior notice.
10. Enforcement
GliVal may take one or more actions if you violate this AUP:
- warning or education,
- temporary suspension,
- removal of prohibited content,
- permanent account termination,
- blocking payments or payouts,
- reporting activity to relevant authorities,
- cooperating with legal investigations.
GliVal has full discretion in enforcement decisions.
11. Changes to This AUP
GliVal may update this AUP at any time.
Significant changes will be announced to Customers at least 7 days before taking effect.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
